NCC Education
Originally part of the National Computing Centre, NCC Education started offering IT qualifications in 1976 and from 1997 developed its Higher Education portfolio to include Foundation and Business programmes. With Accredited Partners in over 45 countries. five International Offices and Academic Managers worldwide, NCC Education employs the latest technologies for learning, assessment and support.
NCC Education qualifications range from ICT for schools to the International Degree Pathway in Business or IT. Our programmes are recognised by universities, professional bodies and employers. Learners upgrade their skills on our professional development modular programmes or complete their University Degrees and Masters in their home country or in the UK.
Newcastle Academy of Business & Technology is an accredited partner of NCC Education, offering Postgraduate Diploma course in Strategice Business IT leading to MSc awarded by University of Portsmouth.
British Computer Society
Formed in 1957, The British Computer Society is the leading industry body for IT professionals. The BCS is focused on improving the reality and perception of professionalism in Information Technology, and intends to make IT the equivalent of any other profession. With a fast growing membership of over 40,000 IT professionals, the BCS has members in over 100 countries. The BCS is a Chartered body, and confers Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist or Chartered IT Professional status on members who meet these high standards of excellence. The BCS sets and certifies the standards of IT competences, both for end users and IT practitioners. Through its European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) programmes for end users, and its ISEB and EUCIP IT practitioner programmes based on its Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) framework of IT skills and competences, the BCS enables the certification of IT skills and competences on a whole host of subjects and at several different levels.
Microsoft Registered Member
The Microsoft Partner Programme is designed for all partners who develop and market solutions based on Microsoft platforms, provide consulting or technical services on Microsoft systems, or recommend Microsoft technology purchases. Microsoft partners include: consulting services providers, independent software vendors (ISVs), independent hardware vendors, large account resellers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), support providers, system integrators, system builders, training providers, value-added resellers, and value-added providers. NABT is a Microsoft Registered Member. Registered Members are organisations with any level of expertise in Microsoft technologies, interested in accessing resources and aligning themselves more closely with Microsoft.
Copyright & Licensing Agency
CLA is responsible for looking after the interests of rights owners over the copying of books, journals, magazines and periodicals. CLA licensed NABT to copy extracts from books, journals, magazines and periodicals. CLA's licences also include artistic works through its agency agreement with the Design and Artists Copyright Society.
